New Camera. The Old Kodak EasyShare gave up the ghost about two weeks ago. The EasyShare was used and beat up when I got it. Yet it survived two falls from my coat pocket. Even then, it was nearly a month after the second fall before it started showing signs of being on its last legs. From now on photos will be taken with a Canon Power Shot. Although I couldn't find the exact models listed in the Consumer Reports guide, the Power Shot series all rated well. The Power Shot has a lot of new features I'm looking forward to trying out.

One of the new features is a wide-angle lens that allowed me to take the above picture of our new Main street. The street's cut off at the bottom. I thought about going back to retake it, but the street still would be cut off because the theater sign takes up too much vertical space.

Near Davis Park, I snapped this picture of City Hall reflected on the side of the new JE Dunn headquarters. Given City Hall's close connections with the local development industry, there's something appropriate about this. I tried taking this picture several weeks ago with the old camera, but was never satisfied with the results. This is closer, but still not quite what I want. As bad as the earlier photo was, the details of City Hall were clearer.

Finally, I took this picture at the edge of Swope Park near the intersection of Swope Parkway and 63rd Street. I think it speaks for itself.
