A friend told after the last superintendent was fired, that the board would have seen this coming if they had properly vetted him. I agree. But why does the board have to do everything?

Wednesday evening, the Kansas City, Missouri School District will be introducing its finalist candidates for school board. Come if you can. If you can't, I'll be posting the names of the candidates late Wednesday evening or Early Thursday morning. In the internet age, there's no excuse for not googling every candidate put in front of district residents. I'll be looking for information on every one of them. I hope you will too.

Since the selection of the Superintendent is one of the most important things for the future of our city, I'm posting all of the district's notice about this.

The Kansas City, Missouri School District (KCMSD) Board of Directors invites members of the community to participate in a public forum regarding its superintendent search on Wednesday, April 29, at Paseo Academy.

The Board of Directors will interview semi-finalists for the position during closed meetings April 24-25, 2009. Finalists will then participate in the public forum Wednesday that will begin with a 30-minute reception, followed by a question and answer session in the auditorium.
